We have some exciting announcements and updates to share with you this month.
First of all, a few weeks ago, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration announced that it will host three national convenings this spring, in collaboration with its Education and Health and Human Services partners. These convenings will continue to support Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) implementation, building upon the regulations and guidance, virtual training, and resources already available to the system. To view the dates for the convenings and for more information, click here.
Second, we are thrilled to announce that the WorkforceGPS Member Directory is live and available from the Member Directory tab on the home page. We encourage you to watch this short video about the Member Directory and its features and to update your profile and opt into the directory (via the blue box in the My Profile tab—you must be registered with WorkforceGPS and logged in to do this).
Third, we have another new collection on WorkforceGPS—the Grants Application and Management Collection, your one-stop source for tools, training, and resources to ensure effective management of your ETA grant.
Finally, we wanted to let you know that we have made a change to the primary navigation of WorkforceGPS. As we mentioned previously, now have a new Member Directory tab, which replaced the Workforce System Strategies (WSS) tab; however, you can still access WSS under the Collection tab.
Enjoy the rest of the month, and be sure to check out the Events tab to ensure you don’t miss any upcoming events, including WIOA Wednesdays. Also, if you’re interested in seeing highlights from our 2016 WorkforceGPS events, check out our new infographic.
