Happy July!

We hope that you had a lovely Independence Day and are enjoying your summer so far.

Speaking of summer, the WorkforceGPS Team wants to take a moment to highlight one of our newest Communities of Practice (CoP): Youth Summer Jobs. Connecting youth to summer jobs and opportunities can be a year-round process, and the Youth Summer Jobs CoP provides an online learning platform for workforce professionals, employers, and partners to learn and share information about summer work experiences. To visit this community, click here.

WorkforceGPS is also proud to announce that another new CoP, specifically for H-1B TechHire grantees, is now available. The H-1B funded TechHire grant program is a key component of the TechHire Initiative, a bold multi-sector effort that provides American workers with critical information technology skills for today’s high-growth careers. This CoP is designed to provide TechHire grantees with a platform for grant colleagues to interact with each other. To visit this community, click here.

Also new to WorkforceGPS and available on the Innovation and Opportunity Network (ION) are three WIOA Innovation Station videos. Compiled from interviews done at the 2017 WIOA National Convenings, these short videos give personal accounts of how teams are implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and  seizing the opportunity to try new things. To check out these videos, click here.

Stay cool!
