The Recovery Ahead

P2P_Graphic-newsletter-thumb.pngThe first half of 2020 has been quite a roller coaster ride. It started out with historically low unemployment in almost all parts of the country and even shortages of workers in certain sectors. And then the pandemic hit. Life, as we knew it, changed dramatically for all of us as individuals and for the public workforce system that we work in.

It is going to take a while to recover, and the way we provide services and assistance may look very different from now on.  Virtual services will dominate the way we work with our customers for the foreseeable future.  The keys to success will be flexibility and forward thinking in the way we serve our customers.   WorkforceGPS is here to provide you with the technical assistance and resources that you need to help connect individuals with the employment and training they need to fill the jobs that are available.  As a starting point, we have created The Pathway to Recovery resources that are organized into the following categories: Job Seeker and Business Customer Service Delivery; Labor Market Information; Partnerships & Planning; and System Infrastructure & Capacity.  This page will be updated regularly as new resources are added.

One of the new items on the Community are the Disability and Employment eLearning Modules which include three eLearning Training Modules to help support the professional development needs of the workforce development staff across the country.
