New Possibilities, New Ways of Providing Services

newsletter-career-counseling.jpgThere is a great deal of change happening in the world of work these days. Many people have returned to a physical workplace after months of working remotely. Others have continued working from home as employers and employees explore a more flexible approach to getting the work done. And then there are those individuals who have decided to pursue new careers and opportunities that give them more flexibility and a change of priorities.

This change is true not only for the general public, but for the publicly-funded workforce system. Many of you have returned to work in your state’s American Job Centers, while others continue to provide customers assistance via virtual services and/or by appointment.

Whatever the case may be, the public workforce system has a great deal to offer job seekers and employers with good career counseling services, products, and tools as well as reliable labor market information that will assist in making informed decisions—whether it be a new career, a good job description to attract solid candidates or wage and salary information that are based on verified data.

During the month of July, WorkforceGPS will be highlighting career counseling services and products that will help you provide assistance to job seekers and employers. If you have a new or exciting approach you’d like to share with your colleagues, we’d love to hear from you. Just send us an email at support@workforcegps.org.
