Hello,
WorkforceGPS is committed to making our website and all related documents accessible to everyone. To provide this information, WorkforceGPS has been designed to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.
The documents and resources on our site are posted in many formats and we strive to make them accessible to people who use screen reading software and to those with other vision or mobility impairments. Generally, we use Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) to create pages and documents that are accessible to that segment of our customer base. In creating HTML pages, we follow Section 508 standards; for example, we include alternate text to describe graphics.
WorkforceGPS content is predominately provided by documents in Adobe Acrobat PDF and Microsoft Office file formats. Most PDF files will be accessible to those who use assistive technology such as screen readers. Some legacy files or embedded applications may not be accessible.
Additionally, all our virtual events and webinars are hosted with live text captioning and chat functionality on the Adobe Connect platform. A recording and full transcript of the event is posted within 2 business days of the live event.
If you are experiencing any difficulty reading or accessing any files or pages using assistive technology (such as a screen reader, Braille reader, etc.), please email the WorkforceGPS Helpdesk, and we will be happy to assist.
Please include the nature of the accessibility problem and the individual’s email address for a response, along with the URL (web address) of the page.
All plug-ins or other applications required to access links on WorkforceGPS webpages can be downloaded via links from this page. Note that these links are to non-government sources. The U.S. Department of Labor and WorkforceGPS do not endorse any of these products. Address questions about the particular plug-in or file viewer to the respective vendor.
