The webinar seeks to enhance participants’ knowledge and build their capacity to understand, use, and develop credible and reliable evidence for their RESEA programs.  This presentation provides an overview of different types of evaluations to help states understand which designs are most appropriate to help them achieve their goals with generating information about their RESEA programs. Attendees will learn about the need to develop causal evidence and receive practical tips applicable to each of the evaluation types. Presenters will discuss how the use of impact concepts lead to reliable studies that measure the impacts from RESEA interventions on claimant outcomes.  The webinar will:

  • Describe implementation and process studies and what you can learn from them;
  • Discuss the concept of “impact” and how to measure it using control or comparison groups; and
