Tuesday, September 10, 2019 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM ET

This session will feature fellow grantees Workforce Connection of Central New Mexico and Midlands Technical College as they talk about strategies they use to support and motivate participants from recruitment through training and credential completion and then on to employment.

The TechHire grants have the unique challenge of providing training and employment opportunities to individuals with barriers to training and employment.  Speakers will share their rigorous applicant screening process and the assessment process training partners use to determine if students are the right fit for the program.  In addition, they will share their process for creating Individual Education Plans and doing a needs assessment with each student, and their strategies for helping training graduates prepare for Cisco and A+ certifications.
