The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) will review Training-Related Employment Data under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). States will share strategies and discuss challenges for reporting this information.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires title I programs to submit programmatic performance data to the Department of Labor (WIOA sec. 116 (d)). Grantees report training-related employment in the ETA 9172 DOL-only Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL) (data element 1608, “Employment Related to Training 2nd Quarter After Exit”). Training-related employment data provide vital information to decision makers and stakeholders, such as State and Local Workforce Development Boards, to determine participant service strategies, services to employers, and considerations for the list of eligible training providers and programs. ETA will provide an overview of the Program Year (PY) 2018 training-related employment data, identifying areas of interest, and potential challenges. Representatives from title I programs are invited to share both successes and challenges with collecting and reporting this element.
- Provide an overview of training-related employment as reported in the Program Year (PY) 2018 WIOA state annual report;
- Discuss potential areas of interest; and
- Seek feedback from attendees regarding successes and challenges with collecting and reporting training-related employment.
Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences.
