This webinar will discuss the application requirements for the Comprehensive and Accessible Reemployment through Equitable Employment Recovery (CAREER) National Dislocated Worker Grants (DWGs).  These grants will support successful applicants in connecting job seekers to employment as the economy recovers from the impacts of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Description

Administered by the Department’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), CAREER DWGs support the Administration’s goal of ensuring equitable approaches to reemployment activities.  ETA is announcing the availability of approximately $43 million of grant funding for CAREER DWGs, which are offered under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) National Dislocated Worker Grant program.  The goal of the CAREER DWG is to develop and implement strategies designed to reemploy dislocated workers most affected by the economic and employment fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular those from historically-marginalized communities or groups, and those who have been unemployed for an extended period of time or who have exhausted UI or other Pandemic Unemployment Insurance programs.
