States are required to conduct and coordinate evaluations, and collaborate with Federal studies under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA). Over the last several years, efforts to help state workforce agencies (SWAs) expand or build upon their evaluation activities include development of new tools and resources, as well as hands-on technical assistance through the Evaluation Peer Learning Cohort (EvalPLC).
- Provides an overview of the Evaluation and Research Hub (EvalHub) and WIOA evaluation technical assistance resources;
- Describes the benefits of participating in a peer learning cohort to build or expand evaluation capacity for SWAs and other WIOA core partners; and
- Facilitates a discussion about the objectives, structure, and options for capstone activities, as well as the schedule for the 2021 EvalPLC.
Attendees will learn about the available evaluation-related resources in the EvalHub and technical assistance provided through the EvalPLC; receive information about self-assessment tools for evaluation readiness, design, and implementation; and will hear about the application process, key dates, and expectations for SWAs to participate in the 2021 EvalPLC.
