The Unemployment Insurance (UI) program is a required partner in the broader public workforce system and provides unemployment benefits to individuals who have lost their employment through no fault of their own and who otherwise meet initial and continuing UI eligibility requirements.
Reemployment services are available for unemployment insurance claimants, as well as recruitment services to employers with job openings. Services include job search assistance, help getting a job referral, and placement assistance for job seekers. Business services include matching job seeker experience with job requirements and skills, assisting employers with special recruitment needs, and helping employers deal with layoffs.
